is using a samsonite bag . Until now it still in a good condition  .

I also like the design and the safety features that samsonite created 

SAMSONITE 

 The company was founded in Denver, Colorado, USA in 1910 by Jesse Shwayder, a luggage salesman, as the Shwayder Trunk Manufacturing Company.  A religious man, Shwayder named one of his initial cases Samson, after the Biblical strongman, and began using the trademark Samsonite in 1941.The company changed its name to Samsonite in 1966. For many years, a subsidiary, Samsonite Furniture Co., made folding chairs and card tables in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Shwayder family sold the company to Beatrice Foods in 1973.

The Denver factory, which employed 4,000 at its peak, closed in May 2001. Samsonite headquarters moved from Denver to Mansfield, Massachusetts, USA after a change of ownership in May 2005. CVC Capital Partners Ltd. in July 2007 became Samsonite's fifth owner in 21 years. 

Samsonite moved its US marketing and sales offices from 91 Main Street in Warren, Rhode Island, to Mansfield, Massachusetts, effective September 1, 2005.

In 2005 the company was bought by Marcello Bottoli, former chief executive of Louis Vuitton as president and CEO, to pull them out of a long slump.  Bottoli left the company in 2009. 

In July 2007, finance investor CVC Capital Partners took over Samsonite for $1.7 billion. 

On September 2, 2009, Samsonite Company Store LLC (U.S. Retail Division), formally known as Swainsonite Company Stores Inc, filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. It planned to close up to 50% of its stores and discontinue the "Black Label" brand in the United States. 

In June 2011, Samsonsite raised US$1.25 billion in an initial public offering in Hong Kong.

In August 2012, Samsonite paid $35 million in cash to buy the high-end luggage brand Hartmann, which was founded in 1877.

In March 2016, Samsonite agreed to buy luxury baggage maker Tumi for $1.8 billion in its largest ever acquisition.

In December 2012, Expedia, an American travel company, announced that it would acquire a 61.6% stake in trivago for US$632 million.The deal was completed in 2013.

In December 2014, trivago acquired mobile app product and development company Rheinfabrik. After the acquisition, Rheinfabrik remains independent from trivago in its work.^[8

In 2015, Andrej Lehnertand Johannes Thomas (Hotel Sales, Business) joined trivago's Managing Director team. In 2015, trivago reported more than $500 million in revenue,^[11] and said its revenue had doubled every year from 2008 to 2015.  

In March 2016, trivago announced it had acquired 52.3% of Cloud-PMS company Base7booking, after taking majority control of the Switzerland-based company in the third quarter of 2015. trivago integrated Base7booking's property management system, which enables small and independent hoteliers to manage daily operations, run reports, send invoices and manage digital and email marketing.

In April 2016, trivago reached 1000 employees and began building a new campus in Düsseldorf.

On December, 16, 2016, trivago became publicly traded on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker symbol. Expedia retains 64.7% of voting rights and 59.7% of economic rights.

My conclusion:

  Conrad Hilton founded the hotel chain in 1919, when he bought his first property, the Mobley Hotel, in Cisco, Texas. 

The first hotel to bear the Hilton name was the Dallas Hilton, a high-rise that opened in Dallas, Texas in 1925.

In 1954, at the Caribe Hilton Hotel's Beachcomber Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ramon "Monchito" Marrero reportedly created the Piña Colada.
The Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago figured prominently in the 1968 Democratic Convention police riot that occurred on Michigan Avenue and across the street in Grant Park on August 28. During the riot the demonstrators took up the chant "The whole world is watching", and the hotel's doors were locked for the first time in its history.
